It’s the 10th anniversary of Cybersecurity Awareness Month! Should we celebrate? NSA Director General Keith Alexander certainly thinks so! If you ask him, everything’s fine and dandy in America and we have the brave ‘public servants’ at the NSA to thank for that.
“Cybersecurity is vital to our economy and our way of life, and ultimately the security of our nation. The Internet, a virtual global city in which we all participate and benefit, is part of the fabric of our daily lives. But just as in our cities and towns, this virtual city attracts criminals and those who would do us harm,” Alexander wrote in a condescending press release.
As far as I can tell, there is nothing factually wrong with Gen. Alexander’s assessment. There are indeed many criminals on the internet who would do us harm. As a matter of fact, there are criminals afoot right now that are actively harming the Republic in a variety of ways. Those ways include: lying to the American people repeatedly, maliciously violating their rights continuously, spying on foreign heads of state and hoarding information in a way that even the most paranoid folks on the planet would call excessive.
Gen. Alexander continues on to write, “Cybersecurity takes a team effort and is a responsibility shared by all – from the individual user of a computer or smart phone, to industry, academia, and government. Cybersecurity is critical to ensure a safe, secure, resilient cyberspace where the American way of life can thrive.”
It is hard for the ‘American way of life’ to thrive when you have bureaucrats rifling through your personal information 24/7. The bedrock principles that this free society relies upon is our Bill of Rights that so many patriots fought and died to protect. The 4th Amendment of the Constitution is what you and your thugs are working diligently to destroy, Gen. Alexander. The fact that you can release this type of Goebbels-esque propaganda patting yourself and your goons on the back makes me and every person in the world who is fully awake to your criminality of your operation completely sick.
Alexander finishes with some sappy ‘feel good’ drivel about internet safety writing, “In observance of National Cyber Security Awareness Month, I urge you to Stop and Think before you Connect to do your part to keep the Internet – our virtual city – a safe place to positively interact and thrive. ”
Alexander seems to be under the impression that the American people are so dumbed down and childlike that they will be reassured by this type of nonsense. However, in reality, the NSA has been permanently disgraced. Everyone knows that they are up to illicit, unconstitutional, invasive activities. All the propaganda and fake campaigns for internet safety you can come up with won’t change that fact one iota.
We’re working tirelessly to put you out of business, Gen. Alexander. Once the public catches wind of the fact that the power is in their hands and they can deny you of the resources you need to illegally spy on them, your goose is cooked. Keep up the dog and pony show while you still can because the curtain is getting pulled on you and the rest of your crook buddies really soon, and there isn’t anything you can do to stop it.
