House Bill 1533 (HB1533) bans the use of any information obtained from a “portable electronic device” such as mobile phone in “a criminal, civil, administrative, or other proceeding,” passed the house and is now under consideration in the Senate Judiciary committee. When taking action, call anytime – even overnight. Leave a voice message if you cannot reach the senators directly.
1. Call the Senate Judiciary chair. Let her know that you support HB1533, and that you’d like to see her quickly move the bill forward to a vote on the senate floor.
