Red herring: The President’s new NSA proposal

via BORDCThe president’s proposal is a red herring that will ultimately strengthen the hand of the NSA

In a March 26 interview responding to the president’s proposal to end bulk metadata collection BORDC executive director, Shahid Buttar, told UpRising Radio:

“Neither of the [President’s or FISA Improvement Act] proposals would do anything at all to curtail internet surveillance, they are both just phone programs, which is to say all of these proposals respond very specifically to the very first Snowden leak.
